Dare to Hope Society

The Dare to Hope Society honors donors who have named HopeWell as the beneficiary of a planned gift. Their generosity ensures HopeWell can continue to support the needs of children in foster care for decades to come. Planned gifts of any amount qualify you for membership.

We are honored to name Jim McDaniel as the inaugural Honorary Chair of the Dare to Hope Society. Throughout Jim’s 40 years of service on HopeWell’s Board, he has demonstrated an unwavering dedication to improving the lives of children and families across Massachusetts.

The Dare to Hope Society reflects the spirit of community and generosity that Jim and his wife Margaret have embodied for decades.

Retirement Plan Assets

Retirement Plan Assets

Designating HopeWell as a full, partial, or contingent beneficiary of your IRA, 401k, 403b, private pension, or other retirement plan allows you to support a cause you care about, while receiving tax benefits. You can help further HopeWell's mission by completing a "change of beneficiary" form with your retirement plan administrator.

Beneficiary Designations

Beneficiary Designations

Beneficiary designations are an efficient way to maximize your charitable giving while minimizing your taxable income. You can designate HopeWell as a full, partial, or contingent beneficiary of your retirement, investment or bank account, life insurance policy, or Donor-Advised Fund (DAF) by completing a "change of beneficiary" form with your plan administrator.

IRA Qualified Charitable Distribution

IRA Qualified Charitable Distribution

An IRA Qualified Charitable Distribution allows individuals age 70 ½ or older to reduce their taxable income by making a gift directly from their IRA. You can make a planned gift from your IRA by contacting your plan administrator.

Bequests

Bequests

A bequest is a gift made through a will or trust. It's a flexible way to support HopeWell's mission because you can select a specific percentage or dollar amount of your estate, or leave a specific asset, such as stocks or mutual funds. Your gift will provide support for the children and families we serve for decades to come, while providing you with an estate tax charitable deduction.
